Ryanggang Province newly created over ７００ hectares of forest of pine-nut trees this year, and thus further strengthened the foundation for supplying raw materials needed for the operation of the regional-industry factories.
On the basis of having worked out a realistic plan for afforestation, the officials of the province intensified the organizational and political work for further increasing the area of forest of pine-nut trees.
The province began by surveying right soils for creating forest of pine-nut trees in detail and on this basis, paid deep attention to securing necessary tree saplings according to a well thought-out plan.
Forest management stations took timely steps for increasing the production of pine-nut tree saplings and supplementing lacking tree saplings in close contact with relevant units.
The province also put great efforts into creating the forest of pine-nut trees in conformity with scientific and technical requirements.
The senior officials made a strict demand for planting trees in a qualitative way.
Then they turned the work of creating forest of pine-nut trees into the mass patriotic movement.
Officials and working people of several regions in the province including Kim Jong Suk, Kapsan, Pochon and Unhung counties have turned out as one for the work of planting pine-nut trees and thus achieve success in it.
In this course, lots of units including the lodging house for study tourists of the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site and the provincial power distribution station were awarded the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest.
