New houses built in South Hamgyong Province

Modern houses have been built at Majon and Naeho farms in Hamhung City and the Paeksang Farm in Pujon County of South Hamgyong Province. Agricultural workers were full of excitement and joy as they have come to lead a worthwhile life enjoying socialist civilization. Addresses were delivered at the ceremonies of moving into new houses attended by officials of the Party and power organs in South Hamgyong Province and the relevant areas, builders and agricultural workers. Then licences for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by speeches. As the agricultural workers began moving into the new houses, their happy laughter and songs resounded and the villages were in a festive mood amid cheerful dance parties. Officials congratulated the agricultural workers who became the owners of new dwellings and gave them daily necessities, sharing joy with them. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
