Memorial meetings, seminars, round-table talks, lectures, photo exhibitions and film shows took place in Myanmar, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Belarus, the Czech Republic and Tanzania on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the demise of ChairmanKim Jong Il.
Present at the events were personages of political and social circles of those countries and members of the organizations for the study of the Juche idea and for friendship and solidarity with the DPRK people.
Screened at the film shows were documentary films dealing with the greatness ofKim Jong Ilbeing revered by all people as a world elder statesman and videos showing the proud reality of the DPRK making the comprehensive development of socialism under the leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea.
Speeches were made at the events.
The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
