Iranian FM denounces US’ military threat against Venezuela

A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the US’ military threat against Venezuela. The US is widely advertising that it will root out drug trafficking in the Caribbean and the Latin American region but it is nothing but a pretext for putting into practice its pressure policy against sovereign states, he said. He emphasized that anyone who knows about the UN and international law must know that the US’ anti-Venezuela moves constitute a complete violation of the basic principles of international law.
