DPRK women footballers back home

The reliable women footballers of the DPRK won the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup this year following last year, and lifted the fourth world cup. They glorified the dignity and honour of the country with gold medals, flying the flag of the country in the sky again with high pride. The news of their proud victory is giving a great pleasure to the people across the country. The DPRK players returned to Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on November 15 after winning every match at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup held in Morocco. They were greeted at the apron of Pyongyang International Airport by Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports who doubles as chairman of the DPRK Football Association, officials concerned and those in the field of sports and families of the players. The parents with pride and delight embraced their daughters who have grown up to be promising sportspersons while bringing their dreams and hopes into bloom under the care of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
