DPRK players returned home after taking part in the 1st CISM Military Men's Weightlifting Challenge held in Iran. At the tournament, they won 13 gold medals and 10 silver medals to win first place in the country standings and lift the team cup. The players who exalted the honour of the country were greeted at Pyongyang International Airport by officials in the sports field and their families on November 8. Sportspersons congratulated the players and coaches upon their successes, putting garlands around their necks and presenting bouquets to them. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
