UAWK officials start study tour of Mt Paektu area

Officials and primary information workers of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea from across the DPRK started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu. A meeting took place to start the study tour at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City on August 18. The participants laid a flower basket and bouquets before the statues of the great leaders and paid tribute to them. The speakers at the meeting said that all the participants should harden their determination and will to follow the road of revolution to the end generation after generation, experiencing how arduous the road of struggle covered by the forerunners despite manifold difficulties and trials under the leadership of the President was. At the end of the meeting, the officials and primary information workers of the UAWK visited the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo and left for Pochonbo, flying the flags of the DPRK and expedition. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
