National exhibition of IT successes opens

The national exhibition of IT successes-2025 opened. The exhibition is held at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang and on the state data communication website "National exhibition of IT successes" by way of actual and virtual exhibition. On display at the exhibition are over 1 700 pieces of data dealing with successes and products presented by more than 510 units in Pyongyang and regions which have taken the lead in the informatization drive. During the exhibition, there will be an artificial intelligence program contest, a programming contest, a contest among the units producing IT products including digital TVs and smart phones, a sci-tech presentation and a lecture on the developing trend of IT. An opening ceremony took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on October 20. Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Choe Tong Myong, Vice-Premier Jon Sung Guk, officials concerned and officials and working people of the exhibiting units. Minister of Information Industry Ju Yong Il made an opening address. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
