New houses have been built in Taeung-ri, Rajuk-ri and Muchang-ri of Kim Hyong Jik County in Ryanggang Province. The modern dwelling houses, built in good harmony with the natural environment of the northern part of the country and designed for the convenience of the agricultural workers' living, visually show the changes taking place in the socialist countryside. A ceremony for moving into new houses was held on the spot, attended by officials of Ryanggang Province and Kim Hyong Jik County, builders and agricultural workers in Taeung-ri, Rajuk-ri and Muchang-ri. An address was made and the licences for the use of new houses were handed over to be followed by resolution-making speeches. When moving into new houses began, people danced to the tune of lively peasant music and officials visited the owners of new houses to congratulate them, sharing joy with them. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
