A few days ago, Choe Un Suk, living in Neighborhood Unit No. 50 of Kaeson-dong in Moranbong District, was visited by lots of people.
"Happy birthday, teacher." "I wish you stay in good health."
Choe felt a lump in her throat, seeing her disciples congratulating her on her birthday, presenting bouquets and souvenirs to her.
They were her students when she was working at Changgwang Senior Middle School in Central District.
She became full of the pride in having trustworthy disciples rendering distinguished services at important posts of socialist construction.
They visit her on holidays like the New Year’s Day and her birthday to look back upon the days at school and make up their minds to live up to the expectations of the teacher.
Though nearly 10 years have passed since they graduated from school, they get more fervent in following and respecting the teacher.
To Choe, her birthday, when she had a nice time with the disciples like members of one harmonious family, was a meaningful day when she realized once again the benevolence of our socialist system full of noble moral obligation.
In late September last, the wedding ceremony of Ri Chol, a disabled man, took place at a restaurant in Haeju City.
That day, his mother was deeply moved by benevolent persons who had prepared the wedding with utmost care and warmly congratulated the new couple.
Actually, his mother Jo Kil Hwa, a worker-peasant correspondent of the Kwangthan Farm in Thaethan County, had planned to hold a private and plain wedding of her son.
However, lots of people rendered all sincerity to the wedding.
Officials of the Hwangnam Ilbo Offices, saying that they should put forward the son of a merited worker-peasant correspondent, took charge of the wedding, as to the preparation of wedding table, transportation and photographing.
Meanwhile, Choe Song Il and his wife Ri Won Suk, living in the Neighborhood Unit No.37, Sungma-dong in Haeju City, who took care of Ri Chol for 10 years, devoted the utmost sincerity to the preparation of his wedding.
Looking at her son and daughter-in-law expressing gratitude to those people who were just like members of their family on the meaningful wedding day, Jo Kil Hwa strongly felt that our socialist country where all the people lead a happy life in a large harmonious family is the best in the world.
One Harmonious Family
Shortly ago, a couple visited the family of Kim Hwa Ryong, a veteran living in the Neighborhood Unit No.44, Manpho-dong in Manpho City.
They are Jong Hyon Guk, a doctor of the treatment and prevention department in the Manpho City Hospital, and his wife So Ryon Hui.
A few months ago, the veteran suddenly fell unconscious and checked into the hospital. While he was in hospital, the couple devoted their utmost sincerity to him.
They frequently learnt about his treatment to take necessary measures and did their best for his health.
While the veteran was getting better, they granted tonics on him and took deep care of his life day and night.
Even after he left the hospital, the couple invariably devoted their sincerity to the veteran, saying that their happiness of today and the future of the country, which will be further strengthened are unthinkable without war veterans.
Not only the couple but also other benevolent people including medical workers of the Yondu Polyclinic and officials of the Manpho-dong Office constantly pay deep attention to his health and life.
So, the veteran and his wife keenly realize preciousness of the country, full of virtues and warm affections.
Together with Farmers
Not long ago, many assistors came to the Hukrok Farm in Jongju City, North Phyongan Province seething with harvesting.
They were the commanders and shock brigade members of the Jagang Provincial Brigade under the Waterway Construction Division.
From the first day of the arrival, they devotedly assisted the farm work and this touched the officials and farmers of the farm.
Actually, they had sincerely assisted the farm in the busy weeding season, and moreover they had exerted themselves in the farm fields to minimize the crop damage when the farm had been suffering an unexpected natural disaster. And when the farm had been in anxiety at difficulties in transporting farming materials, they, regarding the farm work as their own business, had volunteered for the task.
Afterwards their devotion continued; they strove to renovate the educational environment and conditions of Hukrok Senior Middle School in which the children of the farmers studied, saying that the education is an important matter for the future of the farm.
In fact, it was not easy for them, who were busy with their project, to support the farm.
But the commanders and shock brigade members took it on themselves to assist the farm saying that now the Party set the agricultural sector as the main front in the fierce struggle to defend socialism and the whole country assist the farm work, and at a time like this, they could not be an idle onlooker.
That day, they, with master-like consciousness, devoted their sincere efforts to the farm work together with the farmers in every field.
