DPRK players won gold medals at four events of the 2025 Asian Cup Rowing Games held in China. Ri Yun Gyong and Ri So Yon took first place at the light category of women's 1 000m double sculls, Choe Ryong Hyok at the light category of men's 1 000m single sculls, Jong Kwang Bok and Choe Myong Sik at the light category of men's 1 000m double sculls, and Kim Kye Hyang, Ri So Yon, Ri Hye Jong and Ri Yun Gyong at the heavy category of women's 1 000m quadruple competitions. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
