2025 National Schoolchildren’s Games OpenThe 2025 National Schoolchildren’s Games opened with due ceremony at the Samjiyon City Hall of Culture on January 20. The games will bring together more than 8 000 excellent sports group members of schools who proved successful in provincial preliminaries. Competed there will be matches of more than 10 events including Taekwon-Do, basketball and speed skating. Present at the opening ceremony were Kang Sin Chang, secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the youth league, teachers and students. Pae Chung Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.
